Again today we made very good progress. The main column supports for both the West and South Wall were completed and the headers for the two walls were constructed. The groups seem to be a bit shaky in the morning as to what needs to get done, or how to get started. The biggest problem this morning was working out framing issues that were not specified clearly in the plans. However, once the plan was gone over and clarified, the framing started rolling smoothly. The other construction crew in the building was intimidating to the group as well. It was nice to see how the SIP assembly goes together in person.
Everyone seems to be willing and excited to work, but I am finding more and more that they are looking for a positive direction from either me or Peter. I think we can go over the objectives each morning for the day and also bring up options for downtime. Safety rules are being followed extremely well. I cannot be happier with the respect that everyone is showing to PPe
Materials are supplied as needed so far, and we are starting to look ahead for next week’s materials such as hardware and Shading structure flooring. This is helping keep us ahead of schedule.
Our budget totals for today were:
$107 – Sander Rental
$14 – Bed Sheets for glass
$43 – Misc hardware
